Watches and Wonders 2027 grows to 75 brands as nine more names join
The biggest week in the watch calendar has grown again: on 18 September 2026 the organisers of Watches and Wonders Geneva confirmed that the 2027 edition will bring together 75 exhibiting brands, thirteen of them new to the fair.
What has been announced
Watches and Wonders Geneva 2027 will run from 5 to 11 April 2027 at Palexpo, the same venue that hosted the 2026 edition from 14 to 20 April. The Foundation said the line-up will reach 75 exhibitors across three areas: 32 larger exhibitors in the main hall, 27 in the Carré des Horlogers — a section that has tripled in size over the past decade — and a further 16 on the mezzanine.
Thirteen brands are new to the Salon. Nine were named on 18 September 2026: Akhor, Alain Silberstein, Berneron, Breva Genève, Fortis, Kerbedanz, Porsche Design, Singer Reimagined and Stollenwurm. They join Breitling, Damiani, Gallet and Universal Genève, whose participation had already been announced in June 2026. The return of Universal Genève and Gallet to a major international fair is among the more notable details, as is the presence of a large manufacturer such as Breitling alongside a group of young independents. The additions continue a gradual broadening of the Salon's exhibitor list, which the organisers have steadily opened up to smaller and independent makers.
A new look for Palexpo, and a longer week in the city
The 2027 edition will introduce a new scenography for the exhibition halls, inspired by the lakes and mountains of the Geneva region. The organisers say the redesign widens the aisles and improves the flow of visitors through a larger floorplan. Craft demonstrations, training sessions and hands-on workshops are to take a more prominent role, part of a broader effort to present watchmaking as a set of professions rather than as a product display alone. The Foundation frames the overhaul as a response to a larger and more varied field of exhibitors, with wider aisles intended to make the expanded floorplan easier to navigate.
The public programme is expanding too. The 'In The City' initiative will now run for the full seven days of the fair, from 5 to 11 April 2027, with a watchmaking village, in-store activations at Geneva boutiques, encounters with artisans, and cultural and musical events. The Foundation has also kept its LAB innovation strand, with applications from startups and technology companies closing on 30 October 2026.
What it means if you are buying or selling
For the pre-owned market, the significance of a larger fair is indirect but real. The business of Watches and Wonders is new watches, and new watches are what move the second-hand market. A fresh reference puts pressure on the price of the model it replaces, while a well-received launch — or a revived historic name — pulls attention back to the watches that came before it.
The 2027 line-up also says something about where interest is heading. Thirteen new names, several of them small independents, and the return of two dormant historic brands suggest a market that is widening beyond the handful of steel sports models that have dominated for a decade. The Carré des Horlogers, home to many independents, has grown steadily, and the fair is now as much a showcase for small workshops as for the large groups.
For buyers, that breadth is useful: more independent references reach the market, and collector interest spreads across a wider field. For sellers, the practical point is unchanged. Value the specific watch on condition, provenance and completeness rather than on the mood of the fair calendar, because what a watch is worth today is a matter of evidence, not of the next launch. A valuation against current market conditions takes minutes and costs nothing.
